Vanuatu 2019

In April 2019 Cricket Without Borders (CWOB) embarked on a ten day tour to Vanuatu for a series of matches against the national women’s team and also to undertake a number of community based  activities. 

Fourteen players participated in the tour under new coach Jeff Rosolin, Manager Marcella Torre and for the first time we had our own physiotherapist touring with us in Kathy Adams who also provided wonderful assistance in coordinating activities at our school visits. 

The tour encompassed six scheduled T20 matches , visits to two local schools ,a tour of the island (with several stops for a swim!), assistance in some development activities with the Vanuatu Cricket Association and afternoon tea at the Australian High Commission! 

As a part of the planning for the tour the CWOB participated in a campaign to provide footwear for players in Vanuatu and a massive highlight was to deliver in excess of 450 pairs of footwear along with some cricket equipment to the players and management of the Vanuatu Cricket Association on our arrival in Port Vila.
