Hong Kong 2018

Following an invitation from the Kowloon Cricket Club Cricket Without Borders was delighted to participate in the Club’s Women’s International T20 Competition in March/April 2018.

Participating against teams from the Kowloon Cricket Club, Hong Kong Cricket Club this was our sixth international tour and we again had a number of new players as the team set off looking forward to some excellent cricket and the opportunity to make new friends and experience some new cultural opportunities.

Our “new look “ team also had a new coach in the highly respected Natalie Schilov who was Assistant Team Manager on our inaugural tour in 2011 but with a highly credentialled playing and coaching background in her own right.

Assisting Natalie on this tour as Team Manager was former CWOB player Mikayla Haddow who also had a highly respected playing career .

Although only a short seven day tour our team packed plenty into their time in Hong Kong  and apart from their four matches the CWOB players also undertook some fun coaching and development activities with local schools, afternoon tea at the Australian High Commission and a day long trip to Disneyland!

Our Community Partner for this tour was SALT ( Sport and Life Training ) and the players had the benefit of a wonderful leadership presentation prior to the tour from Carissa Rash from SALT.

The Touring Party comprised  :

Jess Adams, Penny Drummond, Gabby Lenehan, Ruby Mattingley, Maddie May, Chloe McGee, Chelsea Moscript, Katelyn Noble, Bianca Proudlock, Heidi Stansfield, Britney Thomas, Kylee White.

Coach : Natalie Schilov

Manager: Mikayla Haddow
