Where Are They Now?

Kate Dempsey was one of CWOB’s founding players touring with us in 2011 to England and Singapore . Kate is one of the many multi talented young women who have represented CWOB and was a highly skilled wicketkeeper/batter from the Box Hill Cricket Club and represented Victoria in a number of under age representative teams as well as playing first eleven cricket for her Club.

However last weekend Kate played in an historic women’s football match having been selected to represent the Victorian Amateur Football Association (VAFA ) in the first ever VAFA Women’s team that played a match against AFL Goldfields Women’s team with the VAFA Women’s team achieving victory on this highly significant occasion.

However Kate is not just a dual Victorian sporting representative but a three time state representative having represented Victoria in the sport of Futsal in national championships as well in consecutive years.

Congratulations Kate and we look forward to hearing more of your sporting achievements in the years ahead.
